Stiletto's first objective is to provide the children living around the campus who have to work everyday instead of going to school the chance to get a proper education. To achieve that we work together with Rumah Baca Fisip, a non-profit organization which provides these children with books & study opportunities. All the profit that we make will be donated to Rumah Baca Fisip.
The second objective is to inform the community about the international programme of communication studies at Universitas Indonesia. We strongly belief that education and culture can not be seperated. In a globalized word it becomes more and more important to understand the different points of view that people from different countries hold, and we from Stiletto want to inform you on how you can get that knowledge: by studying in the international programme which provides its students the opportunity to study in Australia for 2 years! Information about the programme & study opportunities in Australia will be awailable in the booths from agencys which work together with Australian universities.
A perspective on the beauty of the Indonesian culture will be provided through arts- and music performances of several bands. Our main stars are the famous Kunokini (http://www.kunokini.com/)! Besides them, we will also invite several Indonesian Indie bands and, not to forget, we will have our band contest which will need the participants to show their creative side! All of them will have to choose at least one traiditional Indonesian song and interpret it in their own, unique way.
Stiletto will be held on May 24th, 2013 from 14:00 pm until 21:00 pm in the parking area of FISIP UI in Depok!
